Why Church Membership Matters
Church is so much more than an organization or a building, it is a family. Whether you have been attending Grace Chapel for a few weeks or for several years now, we invite YOU to attend our Belong Membership Matters Class, where you’ll hear Pastor Josh Weidmann share in-depth about our values and mission as a church as well as why membership is so important at Grace.
This class is the FIRST STEP in becoming a member, so we encourage you to make plans to attend. Our next class is Sunday, January 26th. Please click on the button below to register.Â

Grace Chapel Church Member Covenant
Adopted by the Elders of Grace Chapel on June 2, 2021
Recognizing none of us can do anything without God’s help, we humbly ask for His grace to empower each of us to keep the following covenant according to His will and for Christ’s glory.
We rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to walk in holiness and repent of sin where needed. With God’s help, we live carefully in the world, denying ungodliness and worldly desires. We commit to ongoing personal discipleship, including reading and studying God’s Word, the Bible.
We pray for the unity of the Spirit and strive for peace. We recognize God’s design for the church is unity in diversity; therefore, we seek agreement in the essentials and we put the interests of others above our personal preferences.
We walk together in love as Christ commands, caring for each other, watching over each other, and encouraging and admonishing each other.
We regularly participate in the life of Grace Chapel by attending worship services and engaging in Christ-centered groups or classes, as long as we are physically able. We follow Christ’s example by remembering and celebrating the person and work of Christ through baptism and communion. We attend membership meetings when held.
We faithfully pray for one another, for people to find Christ, and for more disciples to follow Christ in faith and obedience.
We find joy in praying for and following the leaders of Grace Chapel with our intent grounded in the truths of Scripture. We guard the reputation of Christ’s Church by humbly recognizing and correcting any sins in our lives.
We generously give of the resources God gives to us. We contribute cheerfully to the expenses of the church, the community around us, and the spread of the Gospel around the world. We joyfully serve with our family of fellow believers at Grace Chapel in obedience to the Great Commission.
We share the Good News of Jesus with others. We make our attitudes that of Christ and, through humility, make the Gospel a priority through selflessness, good works, and evangelism.
If we leave this congregation, we will join another Gospel-preaching church as soon as possible where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
With Christ as our Lord and Savior, being baptized as a believer after salvation, being led by the Holy Spirit, and in agreement with Grace Chapel’s covenant, doctrinal statement, and leadership, we joyfully unite with this church and commit ourselves to God and our fellow followers of Jesus at Grace Chapel.Â
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen.
